About the Project
1000 Voices Altadena Mosaic is a community-created public art project and living archive in Altadena, California. Led by artist and Eaton Fire survivor Alma Cielo in collaboration with the Los Angeles Conservancy and the Artists at Work Program, the project transforms ceramic fragments and glass salvaged from homes destroyed during the January 2025 Eaton Fires into a large-scale memorial mosaic.
