Decorations for Fire Survivors
Last year, Ornaments for Altadena brought more than 6,000 handmade ornaments to our community. While Ornaments for Altadena will not be returning this year, the spirit of that project lives on with a new group carrying the tradition forward at Winter Bloom.
Meet Altadena Threads of Hope, a talented community that has spent much of this year hand-sewing stockings and holiday decorations specifically for Eaton Fire-affected households. Winter Bloom is over the moon to host this group and help bring another round of handmade and vintage holiday treasures to families who lost so much.
Want to be part of the magic?
Altadena Threads of Hope still has stocking kits available if you’d like to make a stocking to contribute!
We’re also happy to welcome one-of-a-kind, handmade stockings from local makers. Reach out to Kiley for info.
**This year, we’re focusing on stockings made with care, one at a time, rather than a large-scale donation drive. Please note that there will not be an ornament donation project this year.**
Details and sign-up information for fire-affected households will be released at the end of October. Until then, enjoy a sneak peek at Altadena Threads of Hope’s beautiful work, made with so much care and love for our community.

Handmade Stockings
Handmade with love, each stocking is a little reminder that care, creativity, and community can make the season brighter.

Handmade Decorations
We love these festive decorations, inspired by the parrots and beauty of the foothills.

Antique Ornaments
Thanks to the kindness of a few giving collectors, we have a selection of antique ornaments to share with your other handmade finds.
